Irish trade balance – improvement on last month

Following on from post earlier the first estimate of Irish trade balance (difference between exports & imports) just came in ahead of last months.

Oct M/M showed EU3.28bln surplus vs previous month EU2.98bln-

Good stuff, but as graph shows it is still mid to lower end of range this year. Would like to see some further analysis on it to show where the increase came from i.e lower imports or higher exports. Think the previous month showed a decline due to higher imports. Keep an eye for weekend press which might give some further colour on this little pick-up.
